Amerivest Group has been engaged by Smart for Life, Inc. (Nasdaq: SMFL), a Health & Wellness company focused on nutritional supplements and foods, to expand the company’s acquisition pipeline as part of its ongoing growth strategy.
The engagement supports Smart for Life’s buy-and-build approach, giving the company access to Amerivest’s network of acquisition opportunities as it works toward a stated goal of $100 million in revenue through organic growth and M&A combined. Smart for Life is targeting profitable nutraceutical companies in the U.S. generating $5 million to $25 million in annual revenue.
Smart for Life Chairman A.J. Cervantes, Jr. described Amerivest as a premier M&A advisory firm with more than four decades in business and said the engagement supports the company’s proactive acquisition program.
Amerivest Regional Director Scott A. Levine said the firm’s experience across transactions of all sizes positions it well to help Smart for Life execute its buy-and-build strategy in the nutraceutical industry.
Since the engagement began, Amerivest has already identified dozens of potential acquisition targets for Smart for Life’s consideration. Completion of any resulting transactions remains subject to customary due diligence and financing.
Amerivest Group and its affiliate, Amerivest Advisors LLC, is an M&A firm offering exceptional transactional and financial expertise to lower middle market companies seeking a divestiture, merger, acquisition, recapitalization, or growth capital. Since 1983, the firm’s team has worked as principals and intermediaries in structuring and closing transactions with an aggregate value in excess of $250 million.
