Jimmy Warren

Jimmy Warren combines hands-on restaurant experience with a background in corporate finance. He has a Bachelors in Finance from the University of Florida, and he spent part of his career as financial analyst at NextEra Energy, where he helped structure financial instruments and negotiate funding. That experience still shapes how he looks at a food business.

 

As Founding Partner and Executive Chef of Big Mozz, he helped take a mozzarella-focused startup from concept to a $3.8 million events company with more than 100 employees, a flagship location in New York’s Chelsea Market, and partnerships with venues including Madison Square Garden, Yankee Stadium and Citi Field. He has since sold his share of the business.

 

He later served as Head Chef at Oceano Kitchen in Lake Worth Beach, where he helped grow the restaurant from 30 seats to 150, hired and managed the entire back-of-house staff, and built the kitchen’s operating systems.

 

At Amerivest, Jimmy focuses on restaurant transactions. Having built and run food businesses himself, he understands what makes a restaurant operationally sound, and what makes it sellable to a buyer.
